This notice covers the PicTrainer website, pictrainer.com, as it runs today. A full policy covering the PicTrainer app and venue accounts will replace it before venues can sign up here.

What this website collects

The website has no accounts yet, and no forms. It collects two things:

• Usage statistics, through Google Analytics: which pages are visited, which buttons are pressed, the kind of device and browser, and an approximate location (country and city) derived from your connection. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
• Emails you send us. If you write to [email protected] or [email protected], we use your message and address to reply, and keep the conversation for as long as it is useful to help you.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_*, to tell visits from the same browser apart. They hold a random identifier, not your name or email, and expire after two years. Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) to tell people from automated traffic. We set no other cookies and show no ads.

What we never send to Google

Some PicTrainer links contain a venue's join code or a one-time sign-in link. Before anything is sent to Google Analytics, the website replaces those parts of the address with a placeholder, so Google never receives codes, links or anything that identifies a person.

Who processes it

• Google (Google Analytics), for usage statistics.
• Cloudflare, which delivers the website and protects it from abuse.
• Hetzner, which hosts our servers in Germany.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on, and the website works the same. You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
